Require Phone at Checkout

Every WhatsApp message WhatPro sends needs a phone number to reach the customer. If your checkout does not require a phone number, some orders arrive without one, and those customers cannot receive order confirmations, shipping updates, or recovery messages. Requiring the phone number at checkout ensures every order comes in with a usable number.

The setting lives in Shopify, not in WhatPro.

  1. In your Shopify Admin, open Settings then Checkout.
  2. Find the Customer information section.
  3. For the shipping address phone number, set it to Required.
  4. Save.

After this change, customers must enter a phone number to complete checkout, so new orders carry one automatically.
