Scheduling
Every campaign has a When to send section with a date and time. You can send immediately or schedule the broadcast for later.
Send now vs. schedule
Section titled “Send now vs. schedule”The send date and time default to the current moment in your store’s timezone:
- Send now — leave the date and time at their defaults (or pick a time that has already passed). Launching sends the campaign immediately.
- Schedule — pick a future date and time. The launch button changes to Schedule campaign, and the campaign waits until the scheduled moment to send.
The form tells you which path you’re on. When the chosen time is in the future, it confirms the scheduled date and time; otherwise it states the campaign will send immediately on launch.
Store timezone
Section titled “Store timezone”Both the date and the time are interpreted in your store’s timezone, shown next to the time field. This means the scheduled moment is the same regardless of where you (or your browser) happen to be — a campaign scheduled for 9:00 AM sends at 9:00 AM in your store’s local time.
WhatPro detects your store’s timezone automatically from Shopify.
After you schedule
Section titled “After you schedule”A scheduled campaign appears with a Scheduled status in the campaigns list and on its detail page, which shows the exact send date, time, and timezone.
If the message template still needs Meta approval at launch, the campaign first enters Awaiting template approval. Once approved, it waits for the scheduled time (or sends immediately if that time has already passed). See /campaigns/create/ for how template approval works.
Cancelling a scheduled campaign
Section titled “Cancelling a scheduled campaign”You can cancel a campaign that is awaiting approval, scheduled, or actively sending. Open the campaign’s detail page and choose Cancel campaign. Any recipients that hadn’t been sent to yet are marked as failed, and the campaign moves to Cancelled. See /campaigns/reporting/ for the full status list.
Validation
Section titled “Validation”If you type a date or time that can’t be understood, the launch is blocked with a
clear error rather than silently sending immediately. Use YYYY-MM-DD for the date
and a valid time, or clear both fields to send right away.
