Add a Payment Method
Meta requires a valid payment method on your WhatsApp account before it will deliver any WhatsApp message. This is a Meta requirement, not a WhatPro one — your plan and your WhatsApp connection can both be in place, but messages will not reach customers until a payment method is set up in Meta Business.
You pay Meta directly, at cost
Section titled “You pay Meta directly, at cost”WhatPro does not charge you for message delivery. Conversation and message charges are billed by Meta directly to the payment method on your WhatsApp account. WhatPro adds no markup — you pay Meta at cost.
Your WhatPro plan (Starter, Basic, Growth, or Plus) controls in-app features and message volume allowances. Meta’s charges for WhatsApp delivery are separate and billed by Meta. See Plans for what each WhatPro plan includes.
Add the payment method
Section titled “Add the payment method”- Open Meta Business and go to the billing / payment settings for your WhatsApp Business Account.
- Add a valid card.
- Set the card as the default payment method — not as a backup. Meta only uses the default to charge for message delivery.
You can reach Meta’s payment settings from the Add a payment method step on the WhatPro dashboard checklist, which links directly to Meta Business billing.
Confirm it is working
Section titled “Confirm it is working”After adding and defaulting the card in Meta:
- Return to the WhatPro dashboard.
- Mark the Add a payment method step as done on the checklist.
- Send a test message (for example, from a flow or the Settings page) and confirm it delivers.
What comes next
Section titled “What comes next”With a payment method in place, make sure your orders carry phone numbers WhatPro can message — continue with Require phone at checkout.
