Connect WhatsApp

WhatPro sends through your own official WhatsApp Business number. To enable that, you connect your Meta WhatsApp Business Account once, from the Settings page inside WhatPro. Meta’s Embedded Signup flow runs in a Facebook popup and links your WhatsApp Business Account and phone number to WhatPro in a single pass.

Before you start

You will need:

• A Facebook Business Manager account.
• A phone number that is not currently in use on personal WhatsApp.
• The number must be verifiable by SMS or voice call.

Meta may also ask you to complete Business Verification. Follow Meta’s prompts if they appear.

Use a computer

Run the connection flow from a computer, not a phone. The Embedded Signup popup and the phone-verification steps are designed for desktop. The number you connect must not already be connected to another app or platform.

Connect your account

1. In WhatPro, open Settings.
2. Find the Connect WhatsApp card.
3. Select Connect with Facebook.
4. In the Facebook popup, sign in and choose WhatsApp Business App when prompted during onboarding.
5. Select or create the WhatsApp Business Account and pick the phone number you want WhatPro to send from.
6. Complete the verification steps Meta asks for.

When the flow finishes, you return to Settings and a success banner confirms the connection. The Connect WhatsApp card now shows your connected number, its verified name, and a status badge.

Note

If the card shows a “WhatsApp connect isn’t configured yet” notice, Meta setup on the app side is still pending. You can keep configuring flows and exploring the app; sending begins working once the connection completes.

Connection managed in Settings

Everything about the WhatsApp connection lives on the Settings page. The connected-account card shows:

• The connected phone number and its verified business name.
• A status badge (for example, ACTIVE).
• When the access token was last refreshed.

Health and reconnecting

Meta access tokens are time-limited and need periodic refreshing. WhatPro tracks how long it has been since the token was last refreshed and warns you on the Settings card when it is approaching expiry or when the connection is no longer active.

To restore a connection, select Reconnect with Meta on the Connect WhatsApp card. This re-runs the same Embedded Signup flow on your existing WhatsApp Business Account and phone number, refreshing the token in place — you do not create a new account or change your number.

Tip

If flows or campaigns stop sending, check the status badge on Settings first. A non-active status or an expiry warning means you should reconnect.

What comes next

Connecting WhatsApp does not, by itself, let messages deliver. Meta requires a payment method on your WhatsApp account before it delivers anything — continue with Add a payment method.
